The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has released its latest nationwide Continuous Voter Registration (CVR) figures, confirming that 2,449,475 Nigerians have successfully completed their voter registration across the country.
According to the commission, 1,425,898 applicants completed their online pre-registration, while 1,023,577 finalised their registration through physical biometric capture.
A document obtained by Arise News shows that Osun State topped the national list with 193,026 completed registrations, followed by Imo State with 144,209, and Kano with 142,433.
Other states with high registration turnout include Sokoto (132,584), Lagos (115,334), Borno (112,226), and the Federal Capital Territory (106,855).
Kogi, Jigawa, and Zamfara also recorded strong participation with 97,012, 95,543, and 90,739 registrations respectively.
In the mid-range category, Katsina posted 87,661, Kaduna 82,421, Delta 79,495, Kebbi 77,721, Ogun 77,014, and Niger 73,745.
Similarly, Oyo (68,559) and Akwa Ibom (68,464) reported nearly identical numbers, followed by Rivers with 63,621.
States with lower outcomes include Adamawa (52,381), Kwara (50,221), Yobe (49,766), Benue (46,802), Bayelsa (41,856), Bauchi (37,749), Ekiti (33,393), Gombe (32,890), and Nasarawa (31,862).
Ebonyi recorded 29,102, Edo 27,602, Plateau 25,301, Taraba 18,731, Enugu 17,234, and Ondo 16,709.
Toward the bottom of the chart, Cross River registered 15,339, while Abia completed 13,875 registrations.
In a notable exception, Anambra State recorded zero completed registrations after INEC suspended voter registration in the state in compliance with Section 9(6) of the Electoral Act 2022, owing to the November 8 governorship election.
The commission said the ongoing CVR exercise is scheduled to continue and **will be concluded in August 2026
