Early this morning, reports emerged of several violent attacks across northern Nigeria, including Kano, Niger, Sokoto, and Zamfara States. These incidents, which took place late last night and into the early hours, have left residents terrified, exhausted, and mourning.
In Kano State’s Minjibir Local Government Area, specifically in Kuru, gunmen stormed the community around 6:00 pm on November 26. They opened fire, injuring one civilian and looting shops and homes. Residents described the attack as sudden and frightening.
In Niger State’s Shiroro Local Government Area, at Unguwar Kawo, bandits invaded the outskirts around 11:00 am on the same day. They abducted several farmers working in their fields, including four pregnant women, causing widespread shock and fear in the community.
In Sokoto State’s Isa Local Government Area, early on November 27, around 1:00 am, armed bandits entered Isa town. During the attack, one man was injured, and two women along with a young boy were kidnapped. The community remains anxious and distressed over the violence.
In Zamfara State, late at night on November 26, bandits raided Bakyasuwa in Maradun Local Government Area. One civilian was killed, and several others were injured or abducted. Families woke up uncertain about the safety of their loved ones.
Earlier that morning, around 11:00 am, bandits attacked farming communities on the outskirts of Kwaren Ganuwa, also in Zamfara. One man from the ZCPG was killed while heading to his farm, shocking the community.
These attacks happened within a short period across multiple states, following similar patterns of violence that continue to tear apart communities. The residents are emotionally drained, feeling ignored and living every night in fear.
The ongoing violence in northern Nigeria highlights the deep pain and silence surrounding these daily tragedies. The suffering of the people persists as communities struggle to find peace amid relentless insecurity.
