The Delta State Police Command yesterday arraigned Pastor Daniel Ololo of Omega Prophetic Prayer Ministry in Sapele at the Sapele High Court. The arraignment follows thorough investigations by the police, which are now handling the case as it moves through the judicial process.
Superintendent of Police Edafe Bright, the Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO) of the Delta State Police Command, confirmed the arraignment, stating that the case is now before the court for further legal proceedings. At this stage, the specific charges against Pastor Ololo have not been disclosed publicly, and the court proceedings are expected to continue in the coming days.
The police investigation was initiated after a petition dated October 13 accused the cleric of luring victims, including three sisters, with fake prophecies and subsequently sexually exploiting them. Commissioner of Police, Abaniwonda Olufemi, ordered the State Criminal Investigation Department (CID) to investigate the allegations.
Superintendent Edafe explained that Pastor Daniel Ololo was arrested on November 17 at his church premises in Sapele. The police have called on the public to await official updates as the case progresses through the legal system.
