Afrobeats superstar Ayra Starr has announced the Starrgirl World Tour, a 20-city international run across Europe, the United Kingdom and North America, in support of her third studio album, Starrgirl, released on August 14, 2026, through Mavin Records and Republic Records. The announcement comes a day after she became the first African artist to headline the halftime show at an NFL international game, performing at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in London on Sunday during the Philadelphia Eagles–Jacksonville Jaguars matchup.
The tour opens on January 20, 2027, at Live Music Hall in Cologne, Germany, and will move through Amsterdam, Paris, Milan, Zurich and Brussels before closing the European leg at the O2 Shepherd's Bush Empire in London on February 2. The North American leg begins on March 18 at the House of Blues in Houston and includes stops in Dallas, Atlanta, Silver Spring, Boston, Philadelphia and Brooklyn, where she will perform at the Brooklyn Paramount on March 28. The tour continues with dates in Toronto on March 29 and Montreal on March 30, followed by Chicago, Minneapolis and Denver, before concluding on April 14 at The Fillmore in San Francisco.
The album Starrgirl has been a commercial and critical success since its release. It debuted at number two on Spotify's Top Albums Global Chart, earning 3.9 million streams on Spotify in its first full day globally, and reached number one on Apple Music's album chart in 15 countries. The lead single, "Heaven Baby," featuring ZAYN, amassed over 43.2 million global streams and hit number one on the Shazam Global Viral Chart within its first week. The music video for the track was released on October 5, 2026. Ayra Starr also released "Hot Body" and "Rush," both of which she performed during the NFL halftime show.
The halftime performance marked another milestone in a career that has expanded rapidly since her debut in 2021. She opened with "Heaven Baby" and also performed "Rush" and "Hot Body" during the Eagles–Jaguars game, becoming the first Afrobeats artist to headline an NFL International Game halftime show. The performance capped a year in which she has continued to break barriers for African artists on the global stage. Since her debut album, 19 & Dangerous, she has collaborated with Wizkid, Stormzy, Rema and Coldplay, and has earned two Grammy nominations: for "Rush" in 2024 and for "Gimme Dat" with Wizkid in 2025, both in the Best African Music Performance category. She has amassed more than seven billion global streams and one billion YouTube views.

In North America, Verizon Shine customers will have access to an exclusive presale beginning Tuesday, October 13, at 10 a.m. local time, while a Spotify Reserved presale opens the same day at 2 p.m. local time. The artist presale begins Wednesday, October 14, at 10 a.m. local time. Additional presales will run throughout the week ahead of the general onsale. Ayra Starr also had a message for her African fans, telling them she will see them in December. The tour poster lists no African dates, and none have been announced, but the announcement confirmed that she will close out 2026 with a special return to Africa, with further details to be announced soon. The announcement of the tour follows a period of intense activity for Ayra Starr, who has been touring extensively and releasing new music throughout 2026. She performed at major festivals and venues across Europe and North America earlier in the year, building the audience that the Starrgirl World Tour is designed to serve.
The political and cultural context of the tour is significant. Ayra Starr is one of the most visible ambassadors of Afrobeats, a genre that has become one of Nigeria's most successful cultural exports. Her success reflects the broader global rise of Nigerian music, which has expanded from a regional phenomenon to a mainstream force in international pop culture. Her collaborations with artists such as ZAYN, Coldplay and Wizkid have introduced Afrobeats to audiences that might not otherwise have encountered it, and her Grammy nominations have cemented her status as one of the genre's leading figures. The Starrgirl World Tour is expected to further consolidate that position, bringing her music to tens of thousands of fans across three continents over a three-month period.
For Ayra Starr, the tour represents the next phase of a career that has moved rapidly from local recognition to global stardom. For her fans in Europe and North America, it is an opportunity to see one of Afrobeats' most dynamic performers in venues that reflect her growing stature. For the broader Nigerian music industry, the tour is another demonstration of the commercial and cultural power of Afrobeats, and a reminder that Nigerian artists can compete at the highest levels of the global music business. As she prepared to take the stage at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, Ayra Starr was already looking ahead to the next chapter. The Starrgirl World Tour begins in January, and the coming months will determine whether she can build on the momentum of the album and the halftime show to deliver a tour that matches the scale of her ambition. The dates are set, the tickets go on sale this week, and the world is waiting.
