NYSC Bayelsa Charges Camp Officials to Maintain Discipline and Treat Corps Members with Courtesy

The State Coordinator of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) Bayelsa State, Mrs. Okpalifo Obiageli Charity, has charged all 2025 Batch B Stream I Orientation Camp officials to maintain high standards of discipline and treat corps members with respect and courtesy. This charge was given during her maiden meeting with camp officials at the NYSC Permanent Orientation Camp, Boro Town, Bayelsa State.

Mrs. Okpalifo emphasized the need for collective responsibility among officials to ensure a smooth and successful orientation exercise. She stressed the importance of teamwork, accountability, effective communication, and a warm reception for prospective corps members. The State Coordinator also directed specific committees to perform their duties efficiently, including the Security Committee, Registration Committee, and Gender Desk Officer.

The Coordinator directed the Security Committee to conduct respectful but thorough checks at the camp gate.
The Registration Committee was tasked with ensuring a seamless registration process.
The Gender Desk Officer was directed to give prompt attention to nursing and pregnant female corps members.

The Camp Director, Alhaji Ahmed Lawan, solicited the support and cooperation of all camp officials to ensure a hitch-free orientation course. The Camp Commandant, Capt. M.L. Musa, assured of the military's readiness to collaborate with other security agencies in maintaining safety, discipline, and delivering quality training to corps members.

The State Coordinator emphasized the importance of teamwork and cooperation among camp officials to ensure the success of the orientation exercise. She encouraged heads of committees and agencies to diligently monitor the activities of their personnel and work together to achieve the objectives of the NYSC programme.

In her closing remarks, Mrs. Okpalifo appreciated all camp officials for their early arrival and dedication. She concluded with a prayer for journey mercies for all incoming corps members, wishing them a safe and successful orientation exercise.
