In a heartfelt display of unity and compassion, Nigeria’s First Lady, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, earlier today, Friday, led a distinguished delegation of wives of National Assembly members and state governors on a condolence visit to the Kaduna residence of the late President Muhammadu Buhari.
The visit, marked by solemnity and sisterly solidarity, was to express sympathies and offer support to the Former First Lady, Dr Aisha Buhari, and her family following the passing of the former President.
Senator Tinubu was warmly received by Dr Aisha Buhari, as dignitaries gathered to honor the memory of the late leader and stand with his family during this period of mourning.
Accompanying the First Lady were several notable figures, including:
Hajia Nana Shettima, Wife of the Vice President
Hajia Fatima Tajudeen Abass, Wife of the Speaker, House of Representatives
Amb. Dr Olufolake Abdulrasaq, Wife of the Kwara State Governor
Hajia Hafsat Uba Sanni, Wife of the Kaduna State Governor
This visit follows an earlier condolence trip made by Senator Tinubu to Daura, Katsina State, on July 19, where she led a delegation of Governors’ and Ministers’ wives, as well as Spouses of Service Chiefs, to the hometown of the late President.
The series of visits not only underline the depth of national grief but also highlight the enduring spirit of empathy and national solidarity shared by Nigeria’s leaders and their families.
