In a sustained push against terrorism, troops of Operation HADIN KAI, working with the Civilian Joint Task Force (CJTF), have recovered a cache of arms along the Mafa border corridor in Borno State.
The intelligence-led follow-on operations resulted in the recovery of:

3 AK-47 rifles
-
5 AK-47 magazines
The cache is believed to have belonged to fleeing terrorists operating in the area.
The breakthrough followed an earlier encounter with terrorists on 7th August 2025, during which troops neutralized one insurgent. Acting on credible intelligence, the troops pursued follow-up operations that led to the discovery of the hidden weapons.
The Military High Command has commended the troops for their precision and effectiveness, urging them to sustain such intelligence-driven operations across the theatre.
The operation reflects the ongoing determination of Nigerian forces to dismantle terrorist networks, deny them access to weapons, and secure vulnerable communities in the North-East.
