Today, Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu joined Lagosians for an evening ride on the Blue Line, sharing the commuter experience firsthand. The governor described it as refreshing to sit among daily passengers, hear their thoughts, and engage in conversations along the way.
In just two years, the Blue Line has safely transported over five million passengers. Trains now run every ten minutes, significantly improving travel time and easing daily commutes.
Governor Sanwo-Olu expressed gratitude for the progress achieved and commended the LAMATA team for maintaining the trains and stations in excellent condition.
“Riding alongside Lagosians today was a powerful reminder of why this project matters so much,” the governor noted, highlighting the Blue Line’s role in enhancing public transport and urban mobility across Lagos.
