Bayewu also emphasized the Commission’s commitment to reforms and initiatives aimed at strengthening professionalism, efficiency, and integrity in the service.

Speaking on behalf of OLGE&T, Permanent Secretary Mrs. Bibilomo Olushekun explained that the Long Service Merit Award was revived to recognize officers who had devoted their best years to public service. She described the initiative as not just a reward system but also a morale booster, underscoring the value the government places on its workforce. Olushekun praised the awardees for their loyalty, integrity, and sense of responsibility, and reaffirmed OLGE&T’s commitment to continuing training, capacity-building, and recognition programmes to enhance productivity and inspire officers at all levels.
