The Olorunda Local Government chapter of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) has officially endorsed Hon. (Dr.) Adewale Morufu Adebayo Gangaria, the incumbent Member of the House of Representatives representing Irepodun/Orolu/Olorunda/Osogbo Federal Constituency, for a second term.
At a meeting hosted at the residence of Dr. Oluwole Alabi, the state’s first PDP gubernatorial candidate, party leaders and stakeholders also unanimously endorsed Alhaji Ganiyu Ayobami Ola-Oluwa Asejere as the PDP candidate for the Osun Central Senatorial District in the upcoming elections.
The event, chaired by senior party figures including Senator Olu Alabi, Elder Funsho Ishola, and Dr. Muyiwa Oladimeji, was marked by overwhelming support and solidarity for both candidates. Leaders praised Gangaria and Asejere as experienced, capable, and credible representatives committed to advancing the party’s agenda.
Prominent attendees included Alhaji Rasaki Oluomo Ọba, PDP State Organizing Secretary Hon. Kunle Ojetola, High Chief Lanre Kolade Apesin, Executive Chairman of Olorunda Local Government Hon. Obafemi Kolade, PDP Chairman in Olorunda Hon. Hamzat Nurudeen Ademola, Hon. Rafiu Fashola, all local councilors, and key party executives and interest groups.
Stakeholders highlighted the importance of Governor Ademola Adeleke’s reelection in 2026, describing it as essential for consolidating the PDP’s achievements and sustaining development across Osun State.
In response, Gangaria and Asejere expressed gratitude for the endorsement, promising dedicated representation, legislative effectiveness, and community-focused initiatives if entrusted with the mandate.
The endorsements signal the PDP’s strong positioning in Olorunda and the Osun Central Senatorial District as preparations for the 2026/2027 elections intensify.
