Human Rights Activist Enrolls Children of Detained Adara Leader in Private School

Human rights activist Steven Kefas has stepped in to support the education of the children of detained Adara community youth leader, widely known as Zidane, by enrolling them in a private school in Kasuwan Magani, Kaduna State.

Kefas revealed in a social media post that Zidane’s two children had previously dropped out of school due to their mother’s inability to pay school fees. The activist, alongside a close associate, ensured the children can continue their education while their father remains in detention.

Zidane, celebrated in Adara land as a community hero, has been in detention since 2019 following charges brought by the administration of former Kaduna State Governor, Nasir El-Rufai. Despite his incarceration, Kefas noted that Zidane remains in high spirits and pledged ongoing support for his family.

“I have made it a point of duty to ensure that his kids get quality education until he regains his freedom and is able to resume responsibility. God bless my friend and brother, Tresh Samuel, for joining me in executing this important project,” Kefas stated.
