The Director-General of the National Directorate of Employment (NDE), H.E. Silas Ali Agara, has met with a delegation from the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH, led by Mrs. Svejetlana Djokic, Programme Component Manager for Employment and Promotion, to discuss modalities for establishing a job centre within NDE’s facilities.

The meeting, which also had in attendance the NDE’s Director of Planning, Research, and Statistics, Mr. Edmund Onwuliri, focused on deepening collaboration between the NDE, Federal Ministry of Labour and Employment, and GIZ. Mr. Onwuliri’s department will directly oversee the operations of the proposed centre.

According to Agara, the partnership represents a significant step in boosting job creation, employment services, and skills development across Nigeria.

The initiative is expected to provide a structured platform for linking job seekers with opportunities, enhancing employability, and strengthening Nigeria’s labour market systems.
