The Yobe State Government has reaffirmed its commitment to strengthening security operations and leadership capacity following the successful completion of a Leadership Course in Operations Security and Force Protection (4) by its delegation at the Nigerian Army Resource Centre (NARC), Asokoro, Abuja.
The intensive national programme brought together participants from diverse sectors of Nigeria’s security and governance institutions, focusing on contemporary approaches to safeguarding national and regional stability. The course formally concluded with a colourful closing ceremony, where participants were awarded certificates of completion in recognition of their successful performance.

Leading the Yobe State delegation was the Special Adviser on Security Matters, Brigadier General Dahiru Abdulsalam (rtd), who guided the team through a series of high-level sessions that explored emerging themes such as Technology and Artificial Intelligence in Unconventional and Irregular Warfare, as well as Information Warfare and Strategic Communications in Operations Security (OPSEC).
Participants described the training as transformative, emphasizing that it provided deep insights into the changing dynamics of modern security operations, particularly the growing role of technology, data intelligence, and strategic communication in addressing complex security challenges.
In their closing remarks, members of the Yobe delegation expressed profound gratitude to His Excellency, Governor Mai Mala Buni, CON, for his visionary leadership and continued investment in security sector reforms and capacity building. They also commended General Abdulsalam (rtd) for his consistent efforts in ensuring that Yobe State remains actively engaged in national security and leadership development programmes.
