Prominent APC leader, Joe Igbokwe, has urged the Federal Government to refrain from granting a pardon or early release to IPOB leader Nnamdi Kanu, citing the destabilizing impact of his actions and rhetoric on the Southeast region.
In a statement, Igbokwe emphasized that Kanu’s activities have deepened divisions and unrest, warning that releasing him without following due legal procedures would set a dangerous precedent. He insisted that Kanu must face the consequences of his actions under the law.
Igbokwe further stressed the need for careful handling of the matter, asserting that lasting peace and stability can only be achieved through justice and accountability. He called on authorities to ensure that legal processes are respected and that the rule of law prevails in addressing the case.
