The Department of State Services (DSS) has confirmed the arrest of two dismissed personnel — Barry Donald and Victor Onyedikachi Godwin — who were earlier declared wanted for impersonation and fraudulent activities.

In a statement, the Service said the suspects had been posing as active DSS officials to defraud unsuspecting members of the public. Their arrest follows an earlier public disclaimer issued by the DSS warning citizens against dealing with the duo.

The agency assured that both individuals have been apprehended and will face prosecution in accordance with the law.

The DSS further disclosed plans to publish the names of other previously dismissed officers to prevent the public from falling victim to similar criminal schemes.

Members of the public are advised to report suspicious activities or make official enquiries through the Service’s contact lines at 09088373515 or email dsspr@dss.gov.ng.
