The National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) has announced a mandatory physical verification exercise for all foreign-trained Nigerian prospective corps members (PCMs) scheduled for the 2026 Batch 'B' Stream II Service Year, whose credentials and travel documents are yet to be physically verified. The exercise, which is scheduled to hold from Monday, 13 July to Wednesday, 15 July 2026, will take place across nine designated centres in Nigeria.
According to a notification issued by the NYSC management, the verification is compulsory for all foreign-trained graduates who have not yet had their academic credentials and travel documents physically verified. The exercise is designed to authenticate the authenticity of the documents uploaded during online registration and ensure that only qualified graduates are deployed for national service.
The designated verification centres are located in Enugu, Bauchi, Abuja, Kano, Lagos, Osun, Rivers, Sokoto, and Adamawa states. Prospective corps members are expected to report strictly on the date, time, and venue specified on their verification slip. They are also required to present all original credentials and travel documents as uploaded during registration. Medical graduates are required to upload licenses, registration certificates, and other relevant documents issued by their respective professional bodies and bring the originals to the verification centres. Additionally, original copies of evaluation letters issued by the Federal Ministry of Education must be submitted at the NYSC Headquarters in Abuja, with acknowledged copies uploaded online by the PCMs.
The NYSC has stated that only persons physically seen with credentials, physically verified, and cleared will be deployed, exempted, or excluded from national service. The management has urged all prospective corps members to comply with the directives to avoid any issues with their deployment.
