Troops of the 12 Brigade deployed at the Kabba Patrol Base, in conjunction with operatives of the Department of State Services (DSS), have arrested four suspected terrorist collaborators in Kabba-Bunu Local Government Area of Kogi State.
According to security sources cited by counter-insurgency expert Zagazola Makama, the suspects were apprehended at about 12:11 p.m. on 12 July 2026, during a joint operation at Light Hotel along the Odumo–Kabba Road. The operation was carried out based on actionable intelligence linking the suspects to activities associated with terrorist elements operating in the area.
The four suspects have since been handed over to the DSS, which has taken custody of them for further investigation and necessary action. Security agencies said the operation forms part of ongoing efforts to disrupt terrorist support networks and strengthen security across Kogi State and adjoining areas.
The arrest comes amid heightened security operations across the North-Central region, where troops have intensified efforts to dismantle terrorist cells and their collaborators. Residents have been urged to remain vigilant and provide timely information to security agencies to aid ongoing operations.
