Nigerian TikTok streamer and content creator Habeeb Hamzat, popularly known as Peller, has announced strict attendance rules for his upcoming white wedding with his wife, Amadou Elizabeth Aminata, known as Jarvis, saying the ceremony will be an intimate affair with only 80 to 100 guests and that bloggers and excessive camera coverage will not be permitted. The white wedding is scheduled for Saturday, August 8, 2026, just one week after the couple held their star-studded traditional wedding in Lekki, Lagos State, on Saturday, August 1.
Speaking in a video shared on social media on Sunday, August 2, Peller expressed surprise and frustration at the overwhelming number of bloggers and content creators who attended the traditional ceremony, questioning how they had gained access to the event. "All those bloggers, I don't know who brought them. I think it's the event planner person that brought them. I don't know why bloggers go plenty," he said. He described footage from the traditional wedding that showed attendees crowding the couple with recording devices, saying, "I see one video now, everybody giant pack. Holding phone, big, big, big like this from up. Everywhere surrounded with phone".
Peller also alleged that some attendees had purchased the wedding's aso-ebi not out of closeness to the couple, but as a means of gaining entry and generating content for their social media pages. "Do you know many people bought asoebi just so they could come and record my wedding?" he said. He stressed that the white wedding would be a much smaller affair, with attendance capped at between 80 and 100 guests, restricted to close family members and personal friends.
Despite his frustrations, Peller acknowledged that the traditional ceremony, held on August 1, was ultimately a memorable event. "But the wedding was a great one. I enjoyed it," he said, before stressing that the follow-up ceremony would be markedly smaller. "But my white wedding is just 100 people or 80 people," he stated.
The traditional wedding, which followed earlier bride price rites completed in Jarvis's hometown of Benin City, Edo State, in June, and a civil court wedding in Lagos on July 29, drew a large turnout of entertainers, skit makers, musicians and social media personalities, with footage of the event trending widely across Nigerian digital platforms. It formed the second of what has been reported as a three-stage wedding process culminating in the white wedding. Among the celebrities and influencers spotted at the traditional ceremony were Iyabo Ojo, Priscilla Ojo, Purple Speedy, Nons Miraj, Papaya Ex, Isbae U, Kamo State, Aunty Ramota, Geh Geh, Batife, Shindara, and Jo Blaq.
The tension between the couple's desire for a private ceremony and the public nature of their relationship as high-profile digital creators is not new among Nigerian influencers. Peller and Jarvis have built a joint online following of several million across TikTok, YouTube and other platforms, with their relationship content, livestreams and comedy collaborations turning their romance into one of the most closely tracked storylines in Nigeria's creator economy. However, several influencers have in the past complained publicly about uninvited content creators turning up at personal events to record for their own pages, sometimes securing entry by purchasing the event's aso-ebi.
Peller's decision to restrict the white wedding has drawn widespread comment online, with many fans backing his choice to prioritise privacy. Comments on social media largely sympathised with the couple's desire for a more intimate celebration. One follower wrote: "Like they are too much camera everywhere," while another suggested: "Just do a destination wedding for peace sake". Attention within Nigeria's entertainment and digital media circles now turns to how the reduced guest list and blogger restriction will be enforced on August 8, given the scale of public interest the couple's earlier ceremonies have already generated. For now, Peller has made his position clear: the white wedding will be a private affair, and bloggers and excessive cameras will not be welcome.
