Nigerian music star David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido, has called on the people of Osun State to participate peacefully in the forthcoming governorship election, urging voters to reject violence and protect the integrity of the electoral process.

Speaking in a press video addressed to the people of Osun State, Davido said, "We won it twice before and we will do it again," expressing confidence in his family's political support while stressing that the election should remain peaceful.

He appealed to residents to come out in large numbers to vote, maintain order throughout the election, and resist any attempt to incite violence or disrupt the democratic process.

Davido's message comes as political activities intensify ahead of the Osun governorship election, where his uncle, Governor Ademola Adeleke, is seeking another term in office. Security agencies have also called on political parties, supporters, and voters to conduct themselves peacefully and abide by the law before, during, and after the election.

The singer's appeal has attracted widespread attention on social media, with many Nigerians welcoming his emphasis on peace while discussing the significance of the upcoming poll.
