Troops of Operation FANSAN YAMMA have intercepted a suspected terrorist logistics supplier along the Gurbi–Zurmi corridor linking Katsina and Zamfara States, recovering four brand-new motorcycles and 450 litres of Premium Motor Spirit concealed in sealed packages and jerrycans hidden among containers of vegetable and palm oil. The operation, conducted on Monday, September 7, 2026, followed actionable intelligence that a commercial truck was transporting logistics supplies to terrorist groups operating across the border areas. The troops stopped the vehicle and, during a thorough search, discovered the motorcycles hidden inside sealed packages, alongside 15 jerrycans containing 30 litres of PMS each, which were reportedly concealed among containers of vegetable and palm oil.
The driver, identified as Mallam Abbas Umoru, was arrested and remains in military custody as investigations continue into the alleged logistics network and intended recipients.
