An 87-year-old woman, Mrs Kande Bulus, was found dead on Wednesday, September 16, 2026, along a stream in the Wildlife Park Forest Reserve in Jos North Local Government Area of Plateau State, with injuries consistent with machete cuts on her arm and face. The discovery was made after troops of Sector 3, Operation Enduring Peace, responded to a report at about 9:30 a.m., according to security sources.
Preliminary investigation revealed that the deceased had left her family residence in Dong Kassa, Jos North LGA, and proceeded to the Wildlife Park Forest Reserve but did not return home. Concerned family members subsequently launched a search for her and discovered her body near a stream within the forest reserve. The body was reportedly found with injuries consistent with machete cuts on her arm and face.
