Presidential Aide, His Excellency Alhaji Ibrahim Kabir Masari, Senior Special Assistant to the President on Political and Other Matters, joined the Katsina State stakeholders’ delegation led by Governor Malam Umaru Dikko Radda in a high-level meeting with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu at the Council Chamber, Presidential Villa, Abuja.
The engagement also saw the presence of the Governor of Sokoto State, Dr. Ahmad Aliyu, former governors, serving senators, ministers, members of the House of Representatives, traditional rulers, and other critical stakeholders directly affected by the scourge of banditry.
The meeting provided a platform for open discussions on the persistent security challenges in Katsina State and the related crises in neighboring Zamfara and Sokoto States. President Tinubu welcomed the submissions and expressed appreciation for hearing firsthand from those most affected.
In his remarks, the President sympathized with victims of insecurity and reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to tackling the menace. He assured that all Service Chiefs and relevant security agencies would be fully mobilized to implement immediate and lasting solutions. “Tackling insecurity is not optional; it is imperative. It must and will be addressed not later, but now. As we continue to strengthen the economy and provide palliative measures for the poor, we must also confront insecurity decisively, not only in Katsina but across the entire country. This is a promise,” the President declared.
Alhaji Ibrahim Kabir Masari commended the President’s resolute stance and reiterated the Federal Government’s determination to restore peace and security for all Nigerians.
