Former Senate President, Dr. Abubakar Bukola Saraki, has congratulated the newly inaugurated executives of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Kwara State, charging them to embrace transparency, fairness, and a commitment to the welfare of the people as they assume leadership responsibilities.
In his message, Saraki reminded the new party leaders that they are inheriting an organisation with a rich history of governance and a proven record of driving progress. He urged them to adopt the spirit of sportsmanship and to prioritise service, noting that the expectations of the people require a more strategic and compassionate approach to politics.
“The challenges before us are formidable but not insurmountable. The realities in our dear state demand that we be more strategic, more compassionate, and more focused than ever. We must prove ourselves to be the human-centred alternative that our people are yearning for,” Saraki stated.
He further expressed hope that the executives would carry out their new assignment with grace, stressing that true leadership begins with service to the people. His message comes at a time when political observers say the PDP in Kwara faces the dual task of strengthening internal unity and presenting a credible alternative to the ruling party in the state.
