
The Minister of State for Education, Suwaiba Said Ahmad, joined the Honorable Minister of Education, Dr. Maruf Tunji Alausa, CON, at the inauguration ceremony of the governing councils and principal officers of four federal universities: the Federal University of Agriculture and Technology, Okeho; the Federal University of Health Sciences and Technology, Tsafe; Yusuf Maitama Sule Federal University of Education, Kano; and the Federal University of Education, Zaria.
Representing the Federal Ministry of Education, Minister Suwaiba Said Ahmad reassured the newly appointed councils and principal officers of the Ministry’s full support. She emphasized that, in collaboration with TETFund and other development partners, the Ministry will provide the necessary infrastructure, policy reforms, and capacity-building initiatives to enable these universities to thrive as globally competitive institutions in line with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda.
Minister Ahmad congratulated the newly appointed councils, Vice-Chancellors, and principal officers, urging them to prioritize excellence, student welfare, and community service, laying strong foundations that will shape the future of the institutions for decades to come.
