
President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has congratulated the Etsu Nupe and Chairman of the Niger State Council of Traditional Rulers, Alhaji Yahaya Abubakar, on his 73rd birthday and 22nd year as monarch, marking decades of service to the Nupe Kingdom and the nation.
In his message, President Tinubu lauded the first-class traditional ruler for his patriotic contributions, leadership, and dedication to promoting unity, harmony, religious tolerance, and reconciliation across Nigeria.
Alhaji Abubakar, who retired from the military as a Brigadier-General after holding key operational positions, ascended the throne as the 13th Etsu Nupe in 2003. President Tinubu highlighted his service as Chairman of the Abuja Mosque and the Coordinating Committee of the National Council of Traditional Rulers of Nigeria, noting that his humility, courage, and experience have positively shaped his leadership.
The President prayed for continued good health, wisdom, and a peaceful, prosperous reign over the Nupe Kingdom.
