NEMA DG Hails Retirees for Dedicated Service to Humanity

The Director General of the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA), Mrs. Zubaida Umar, has praised the agency’s retired staff for their years of selfless service, describing their contributions as a legacy of dedication, sacrifice, and commitment to humanitarian work.

She gave the commendation in Abuja during a special send-forth ceremony held in honour of the retirees. According to her, their efforts played a vital role in strengthening Nigeria’s disaster management system and advancing the agency’s mandate.

Mrs. Umar urged current staff of NEMA to draw inspiration from the retirees by upholding professionalism, discipline, and passion for humanitarian service.

In their remarks, the retirees expressed gratitude to the Director General and the management team for the recognition, pledging to remain worthy ambassadors of the agency. They also assured that they would continue to offer support to NEMA whenever needed, even after active service.

The event, attended by management, staff, and well-wishers, was marked by goodwill messages and tributes celebrating the achievements and impact of the outgoing officers.
