Kaduna State Deputy Governor, Dr. Hadiza Sabuwa Balarabe, attended the opening ceremony of the 40th National Conference and 40th Anniversary of the Federation of Muslim Women’s Associations of Nigeria (FOMWAN) on Thursday at the Umaru Musa Yar’adua Hall, Kaduna.
The conference, themed “Empowering Muslim Women in the Face of Climate Change: Building Resilience, Sustainability, and Community Development,” was described by Dr. Balarabe as timely and significant, aligning with Kaduna State’s development priorities in women’s empowerment, healthcare, education, and sustainable community building.
In her address, Dr. Balarabe:

Commended FOMWAN’s forty years of service, highlighting its role in amplifying the voices of Muslim women.

Recognized the association’s contributions to girl-child education, health initiatives, peace-building, and social harmony.
