The Enugu State Government has announced a final mop-up gratuity verification exercise for eligible retirees and Next of Kin (NoK) who missed previous rounds or have only recently completed their legal documentation.
The exercise is scheduled to take place as follows:
📅 Date: Monday, August 18 – Friday, August 22, 2025
📍 Venue: Enugu North Local Government Headquarters
According to a public service announcement issued and signed by Prof. Chidiebere Onyia, Secretary to the State Government, no further extensions will be granted, making this the final opportunity for eligible persons to be verified for gratuity processing.

👥 Who Should Attend?
✔️ Retirees who missed previous verification rounds
✔️ Next of Kin of deceased retirees who now possess valid legal documentation
> 🚫 Note: Retirees who have already completed verification or received full gratuity payments should not attend.
🔁 Those who received partial payments must present evidence of such.

🗂 Required Documents
Participants must bring both originals and photocopies of the following:
1. Verification Printout (from earlier pension verification)
2. Notice of Retirement
3. Pension Identification Card
4. Pension Form and Authority
5. BVN and NIN
6. Two (2) recent passport photographs
7. One-year Bank Statement
8. For Next of Kin:
Death Certificate
Letter of Administration or Affidavit
9. Any other relevant documentation

🌍 If You Are Abroad or Hospitalized
Those who cannot attend in person due to health or travel reasons may authorize a representative by:
✔️ Sending a signed authorization letter or affidavit
✔️ Ensuring the representative brings all required documents
✔️ Scanning and emailing all documents to: verifygratuity@gmail.com
📧 Email subject line must include the retiree’s name and Pension ID
