The Senator representing Jigawa North West Senatorial District, Dr. Babangida Hussaini, has commissioned the reconstructed Palace of Gidan Dambo, the historic residence of the Emir of Kazaure.

The project, which began in 2019, has now been successfully completed and is described as a masterpiece of architecture, featuring modern apartments, living rooms, and a new council chamber befitting the dignity of the Emirate.

During the ceremony, His Highness, the Emir of Kazaure, Alhaji Najib Hussaini Adamu (CON), commended the senator’s commitment and prayed for Allah’s continued guidance in his undertakings.

Jigawa State Governor, Malam Umar Namadi, also praised the reconstruction, describing it as a people-oriented initiative that preserves culture while improving infrastructure. He urged other public office holders to emulate such impactful projects, adding that the palace will serve as a symbol of heritage and governance.

“On behalf of myself and the people of Jigawa State, I thank Senator Hussaini for his dedication to initiatives that bring value and progress to our communities,” the governor said.

In addition to the palace reconstruction, Senator Hussaini also distributed 127 motorcycles to APC Ward Chairmen across the Jigawa North West Senatorial District.

According to him, the gesture aims to support local party leaders in carrying out their responsibilities, enhance mobility, and deepen grassroots engagement.

The day’s activities concluded with the Government and People Program, where Governor Namadi engaged directly with citizens, listening to their concerns and assessing progress on ongoing developmental projects across Jigawa.

Senator Hussaini described the reconstruction of the historic palace and the grassroots support initiative as part of his broader mission of service.

“Alhamdulillah, together we are moving forward in building a stronger, united, and progressive Jigawa North West and Nigeria at large,” he said.
