Former Kaduna State Governor, Malam Nasir El-Rufai, has distanced himself from statements allegedly credited to him by ADC Vanguard, describing them as fabricated and misleading.

In a post shared via his official social media handle @elrufai, the former governor warned against falsely attributing opinions to him, stressing that he maintains verified channels where his genuine views are made public.

“Dear ADC Vanguard. Please stop fabricating statements and attributing them to me. I have my social media handles where I can make my views and opinions published. I am going to disown the statements you created and attributed not because I necessarily disagree with the message, but because I never made them. That is not the honest way to represent our party or gain traction. Please stop it forthwith,” El-Rufai stated.

The remark comes amid rising concerns about the spread of political misinformation and the use of fabricated quotes to influence public discourse.

Observers note that El-Rufai’s firm rebuttal highlights the importance of verifying political communication through authentic and verified sources.
