Fresh Israeli Strikes Kill At Least 25 Palestinians, Including Women and Children, in Gaza

At least 25 Palestinians were killed in the Gaza Strip today as Israeli airstrikes and gunfire struck multiple locations where civilians had gathered, according to medical sources and humanitarian workers.

In the southern city of Khan Younis, Israeli strikes hit tents sheltering displaced families, killing at least 14 people, morgue records at Nasser Hospital confirmed. Health officials reported that women and children made up more than half of the casualties, underscoring the continuing toll on non-combatants.

In the north, health officials at the Sheikh Radwan field hospital said Israeli troops opened fire near the Zikim crossing, killing at least five Palestinians who had gathered in hopes of receiving humanitarian aid.

Elsewhere across Gaza, six more people were killed in separate attacks, according to reports from local hospitals and the Palestinian Red Crescent Society.

The strikes highlight the deepening humanitarian crisis in Gaza, where tens of thousands of Palestinians remain displaced, sheltering in makeshift camps and struggling to access food, water, and medical care. Aid agencies warn that overcrowded camps have become increasingly vulnerable targets.

Humanitarian organizations, including the United Nations, have repeatedly called for greater protection of civilians, particularly displaced families and aid seekers. International observers note that the death toll in Gaza continues to climb, with civilians often bearing the brunt of the violence.

The latest attacks come amid ongoing Israeli military operations, which Israel says are aimed at dismantling militant networks. However, critics argue that the indiscriminate nature of strikes on populated areas has caused devastating civilian casualties and may worsen instability in the region.

Meanwhile, Palestinian health officials warn that medical facilities are overwhelmed and running out of essential supplies, leaving many victims without access to life-saving treatment.

This fresh wave of violence raises urgent questions about the future of ceasefire negotiations, humanitarian access, and international accountability as the conflict grinds on.
