The Civil Defence, Correctional, Fire and Immigration Services Board has expressed deep sorrow over the loss of some of its personnel who died in the line of duty. Among the fallen was CSC Dumle Boogba, who was caught in a crossfire during a joint military operation in Rivers State and later succumbed to his injuries.
The Board also mourned the gallant officers who recently lost their lives in Edo State while carrying out their responsibilities to protect the nation. In a solemn tribute, the leadership described the officers as heroes who paid the ultimate price in service to their country, affirming that their sacrifice would never be forgotten.
Prayers were offered for the repose of their souls, with the message that “may their souls and the souls of all the faithful departed, through the mercy of God, rest in peace.”
The tragedy has once again underscored the dangers faced daily by security operatives across Nigeria, highlighting the need for greater recognition, support, and protection for those who risk everything in the service of peace and national security.
