Kwara State Governor, AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, has given approval for the 2024 cash backing of promotions for 3,594 teaching and non-teaching staff under the State’s Teaching Service Commission (TESCOM).
The announcement was made on Monday, 8th September 2025, by the Commission’s Executive Chairman, Mallam Bello Tauheed Abubakar, during a management briefing at the commission’s headquarters.
Abubakar described the approval as yet another demonstration of the governor’s commitment to the welfare of teachers in the state. He recalled that since assuming office in 2019, Governor AbdulRazaq had consistently provided financial backing for accumulated staff promotions dating from 2015 to 2023.
He assured TESCOM staff that the current administration remains committed to ensuring all promotions are supported with the necessary financial implementation as and when due. Abubakar further pledged the commission’s loyalty and dedication, promising that staff will continue to justify the government’s investment through hard work and commitment.
