The First Lady of Nigeria and National Chairman of the Renewed Hope Initiative (RHI), Senator Oluremi Tinubu, on Tuesday hosted the Mid-Term Assessment and Interactive Session with beneficiaries of the RHI/National Scholarship Programme (NASP) at the State House, Abuja.
The event brought together 47 young scholars, who are recipients of the prestigious RHI/NASP scholarship, for an interactive exchange of ideas and reflections on their academic journey so far. Each of the beneficiaries received ₦1 million as the third tranche of their scholarship package, along with a brand-new laptop to further support their studies.
The session was attended by the wife of the Vice President, the Minister of Education, the Director-General of NITDA, and the wives of top government officials, all of whom commended the initiative for investing in Nigeria’s future leaders. Senator Tinubu, in her remarks, praised the resilience and dedication of the scholars, noting that the Renewed Hope Initiative was not just about financial support but about building a generation of role models who would contribute meaningfully to national development.
She urged the beneficiaries to see the scholarship as a call to greater responsibility and as an opportunity to give back to the nation in the years ahead. The interactive exchanges that followed gave the scholars a platform to share their experiences, raise ideas for improving educational opportunities, and reaffirm their commitment to excellence.
The First Lady assured that the Renewed Hope Initiative would continue to expand educational opportunities, deepen mentorship programmes, and strengthen youth empowerment as part of the Renewed Hope Agenda of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s administration.
