Governor Nasir Idris of Kebbi State has ordered the immediate suspension of the Commissioner for Health, Comrade Yunusa Isma’il, pending further notice, citing dereliction of duty.
A statement released on Thursday by Secretary to the State Government (SSG), Alhaji Yakubu Bala Tafida, confirmed the governor’s directive. The statement further instructed the suspended commissioner to provide cogent reasons why disciplinary measures should not be taken against him for alleged negligence and failure to execute his responsibilities as the state’s Health Commissioner.
