The Lagos State Real Estate Regulatory Authority (LASRERA) has officially commissioned its new Satellite Office in Surulere, Lagos. The office, strategically located within the Surulere Local Government premises, was declared open by the Special Adviser to the Governor on Housing, Barr. Barakat Odunuga Bakare.
Speaking at the event, Barr. Odunuga Bakare highlighted that the Surulere Satellite Office is designed to bring LASRERA’s services closer to the people, serving as a one-stop centre for real estate regulation and public engagement.
She explained, “This office will enable real estate practitioners to register their businesses seamlessly and obtain vital information about the sector. It will also provide a platform to resolve conflicts and issues relating to real estate transactions. Additionally, the office will act as a hub for data collection to support government policy and planning in the real estate sector.”
The Special Adviser noted that the establishment of the Surulere office is part of the State Government’s broader vision to replicate LASRERA offices across all Local Government Areas (LGAs) and Local Council Development Areas (LCDAs). This initiative aims to ensure that regulation, transparency, and stakeholder protection are accessible to all Lagosians, regardless of location.
She reaffirmed the State Government’s commitment to creating an enabling and transparent real estate sector that adheres to international best practices while safeguarding the interests of all stakeholders.
