A disturbing security incident has been reported in Kobi Sarki, a community just a few kilometres from Abuja city centre, where the Commander of the Volunteer Vigilantes, Bako Shauza, was shot dead in cold blood.
The tragic killing occurred on Monday evening at around 8 pm while Shauza was reportedly attempting to rescue residents abducted by suspected kidnappers who invaded the community.
Residents, angered by the latest attack, have barricaded the road leading to the area in protest, urging the FCT Minister and the Executive Chairman of Abuja Municipal Area Council to take urgent action against the incessant attacks targeting their community.
Kobi has in recent times faced multiple security challenges, including attacks resulting in the death of a security officer and the abduction of several community members, highlighting the growing insecurity in the region.
