KANO STUDENTS LEAD NATIONAL PERFORMANCE IN 2025 NECO EXAMS

Published on 18 September 2025 at 13:25

Students from Kano State have distinguished themselves as top performers in the 2025 Senior School Certificate Examination (SSCE) conducted by the National Examinations Council (NECO), a success that has drawn widespread recognition.

Senator Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, National Leader of the New Nigeria People’s Party (NNPP) and 2023 Presidential Candidate, commended the students for their achievement, attributing it to the consistent investment in education by the Kano State Government under Governor Alhaji Abba Kabir Yusuf over the last two years.

Reflecting on the significance of the achievement, Senator Kwankwaso noted that Kano State has moved past earlier challenges, when examination results were occasionally withheld due to unpaid fees, and described the latest performance as evidence of the positive impact of sustained educational reforms. He called on the government and stakeholders to continue supporting education and to intensify efforts to improve learning outcomes for students across the state.

The accomplishment reinforces the importance of strategic educational investments and serves as an inspiration for other states to prioritize reforms that ensure academic excellence and provide opportunities for students to succeed.
