
Governor Nasir Idris has approved the release of ₦1.2 billion to fund critical projects in the state’s education sector, underscoring his administration’s strong commitment to quality education and youth development.
The announcement was made by the Commissioner for Higher Education, Isah Tunga, at a press conference, where he explained that the intervention covers the construction of student hostels at the Kebbi State College of Health Science and Technology, Jega, as well as the payment of outstanding registration fees for Kebbi students studying across the country for the 2024/2025 academic session.
Tunga described the move as a landmark intervention, noting that it reflects the governor’s determination to expand access to quality education and position Kebbi’s tertiary institutions to compete favourably with peers nationwide.
He urged students and residents of the state to continue supporting the administration with prayers, stressing that Governor Idris remains committed to delivering good governance and building a stronger education system that empowers the youth for future challenges.
