
Anambra State Governor, Professor Charles Chukwuma Soludo CFR, made waves on the international stage as he received triple honors at the 2025 Global Power Forum, held alongside the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA 80). The awards include the African Public Service Excellence Award, African Governor of the Year Award, and a Special Recognition/Commendation by the South Carolina House of Representatives.
In his keynote address, themed “Africa Unleashed: Navigating the Disruptions, Enhancing Opportunities”, Governor Soludo highlighted Anambra State’s journey of transformation. The event brought together a constellation of world leaders and dignitaries, including former Tanzanian President Dr. Jakaya Kikwete, Prime Minister Philip Davis of The Bahamas, President Sylvanie Burton of Dominica, former Trinidad and Tobago Prime Minister Kamla Persad-Bissessar, and African Development Bank Secretary-General Prof. Vincent O. Nmehielle. Their presence underscored the significance of the platform for sharing ideas and fostering global cooperation.
Governor Soludo expressed heartfelt gratitude to the people of Anambra State for their unwavering support, acknowledging that the recognition reflects not just his leadership but the collective effort of the state’s citizens. “Anambra is truly on the rise, and the world is taking notice,” he said.
