The Province of Shandong, through its Foreign Affairs Office, recently hosted an Ogun–Shandong Matchmaking Event aimed at deepening economic and trade cooperation between the two regions. The event featured exhibitions from several small and medium-scale enterprises (SMEs) and manufacturers across Shandong, representing industries such as power, textiles, equipment manufacturing, and electric vehicles.

During the session, Ogun State Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun, delivered a presentation highlighting the competitive advantages that make Ogun a leading investment destination in Nigeria. He emphasized the state’s strategic location, supportive policies, and growing infrastructure base, noting that Ogun continues to attract global investors thanks to its enabling business environment.

Following the Governor’s presentation, several Shandong-based businesses expressed interest in exploring investment opportunities in Ogun State. The matchmaking event is seen as a positive step toward expanding trade, increasing investment inflows, and fostering stronger economic ties between Shandong Province and Ogun State under the broader Nigeria–China Comprehensive Strategic Partnership (NCSP).
