
Delta State Governor, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori, has joined millions of Christians worldwide in celebrating the Founder and Presiding Bishop of Living Faith Church Worldwide (Winners’ Chapel), Dr. David Oyedepo, on the occasion of his 71st birthday.
In a goodwill message issued in Asaba, Governor Oborevwori praised Bishop Oyedepo for his unwavering devotion to God’s work and his far-reaching contributions to Nigeria’s spiritual growth, education, and nation-building.
The Governor described the revered cleric as “a rare gift to Christendom”, noting that his teachings, prayers, and mentorship have shaped generations of believers both within and outside Nigeria.
“Bishop Oyedepo is not only a father of faith but also a role model whose life of service, integrity, and visionary leadership continues to inspire millions, including me,” Oborevwori said.
He highlighted Oyedepo’s pioneering role in Christian ministry and education, particularly through the establishment of Covenant University and Landmark University, which he described as enduring legacies in the fields of academic excellence and moral upbringing.
On behalf of his family, government, and the people of Delta State, Oborevwori congratulated Bishop Oyedepo, praying for sound health, renewed strength, and more years of impactful service to God and humanity.
Bishop David Oyedepo, widely regarded as one of Africa’s most influential Christian leaders, has spent decades advancing the Christian faith, building institutions, and empowering youths through education and spiritual mentorship.
