The newly appointed Permanent Secretary of the Office of Internal Audit, Mrs. Monsurat Titilope Alaka, has pledged to enhance efficiency and drive positive transformation within Lagos State’s Audit Cadre. Speaking during her inaugural meeting with departmental and unit heads, Mrs. Alaka highlighted her commitment to reposition the office for improved performance and accountability in service delivery.
She urged all staff to cooperate fully in reviewing and improving existing audit processes to achieve more effective outcomes. Stressing the importance of diligence and excellence, she emphasized that the office would not tolerate indolence under her leadership. Mrs. Alaka also highlighted the unity between accountants and auditors, describing them as one family working toward a common goal.
In response, the Director of Administration & Human Resource, Mr. Olusoji Bodede, commended the Permanent Secretary for her motivating address and assured her of the staff’s full support in realizing the objectives of the Office of Internal Audit.
