The Chairman of the Adamawa State House of Assembly Standing Committee on Information, Hon. Musa Mahmud Kallamu, has dismissed circulating social media claims that each member of the Assembly received ₦100 million for developmental projects from the 2025 approved state budget. Speaking in a telephone interview with state Assembly correspondents on Tuesday, Hon. Kallamu described the reports as entirely false and misleading.

He clarified that the funds approved by Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri are strictly earmarked for community development projects across Adamawa State’s 25 constituencies. The money is allocated to state ministries and agencies responsible for executing the projects, rather than being disbursed directly to legislators. Hon. Kallamu emphasized that Assembly members merely submit project lists and locations for execution, with their role limited to supervising the work to ensure quality delivery.

The lawmaker underscored that no Assembly member has access to the funds personally, adding that claims of ₦100 million payouts are unfounded. He praised the cooperative relationship between the 8th Assembly, led by Rt. Hon. Bathiya Wesley, and the State Executive under Governor Fintiri, highlighting their shared focus on visionary and people-oriented leadership.

Hon. Kallamu also commended Governor Fintiri for approving funds that enable legislators to deliver tangible developmental projects in their constituencies, reiterating that the governor’s initiatives are aimed at the welfare and progress of citizens at the grassroots level. He urged the public to disregard misinformation circulating online, emphasizing that the government remains committed to community-centered development across Adamawa State.
