Kebbi State Governor, Comrade Dr. Nasir Idris, has welcomed a delegation from the global security firm G-Safety to explore strategic partnerships aimed at reinforcing the state’s security architecture and supporting existing security agencies.

The meeting took place on Wednesday at the Government House, Birnin Kebbi, where discussions focused on intelligence collaboration, capacity building, and technological support to enhance the effectiveness of local security operations.

Governor Idris described the engagement as timely and strategic, noting that the consortium’s expertise could bolster the capabilities of security agencies across the state.

“We invited them to advise and work with us so that our security agencies can understand, respond effectively, and live up to expectations in addressing challenges in some local government areas. We want to hear what they have to offer, agree on workable terms, and if convinced, see how we can collaborate to achieve lasting peace,” Governor Idris said.

Following the meeting, Ahmed Saleh Junior, Security Consultant for G-Safety, told journalists that the company is headquartered in Beijing, China, with over 36 branches globally, providing advanced security solutions to governments and institutions.

Saleh emphasized that Kebbi State, like other areas in Northwestern Nigeria, has been affected by criminal activities linked to the Lakurawa terrorist group. He explained that G-Safety’s intervention is designed to complement federal efforts, offering advanced intelligence and technological support.

“The Federal Government has deployed significant military, paramilitary, and intelligence assets across the country to address the menace of the Lakurawa group. Our role is to support these efforts by providing advanced intelligence and technological support, enabling people to sleep with their two eyes closed,” he said.

The consultant further outlined that G-Safety would assist the state in generating credible and actionable intelligence, crucial for the success of security operations.

“We are offering the Kebbi State Government a first-class, state-of-the-art digital intelligence collection and collation system to strengthen coordination with existing federal security structures. Our goal is to help counter and stamp out the tide of insecurity in the state,” Ahmed Saleh affirmed.

The visit highlights Kebbi State’s proactive approach to security management, leveraging both international expertise and technological innovation to protect citizens and maintain peace.
