Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu of Lagos State has congratulated Chief (Mrs.) Victoria Olaitan Abiodun, mother of Ogun State Governor Prince Dapo Abiodun, on her 90th birthday, describing her as a remarkable matriarch whose life has positively impacted family, community, and society.
Governor Sanwo-Olu attended the Thanksgiving Service held at St. James Anglican Church, Iperu-Remo, Ogun State, on Thursday, joining family, friends, and dignitaries in celebrating Mama Abiodun’s milestone.
He highlighted her significant contributions as an educationist, businesswoman, and community leader, emphasizing the positive influence she has had on her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, many of whom have excelled in various aspects of life.
“On behalf of my wife, Ibijoke; family; the government; and the people of Lagos State, I express warm felicitations to Madam Victoria Olaitan Abiodun, the mother of my dear brother, Governor Dapo Abiodun, on her 90th birthday anniversary. We are happy to celebrate Mama Abiodun on her 90th birthday. We thank God for giving her the grace of longevity and for being surrounded at old age by his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren,” Sanwo-Olu said.
The Lagos State Governor described the celebration as a testament to God’s faithfulness, recognizing Mama Abiodun’s dedication to education and community service, which has left an enduring legacy.
“Mama, as an educationist, businesswoman and community leader, made positive impacts in the lives of many people who were directly and indirectly touched by her kindness, love, passion, dedication, and service to humanity. As Mama Victoria Olaitan Abiodun joins the league of nonagenarians, I pray that the Almighty God will continue to bless her with good health and strength at old age,” he added.
Governor Sanwo-Olu also extended his felicitations to Governor Dapo Abiodun and the entire Abiodun family, commending them for celebrating the life of a woman who has contributed significantly to her family and society at large.
