The Delta State Police Command has rescued a kidnapped victim and arrested two suspected drug barons found in possession of a large quantity of illicit substances during separate operations across the state.
This was disclosed in a statement issued by the Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), SP Bright Edafe, in Asaba.
The Commissioner of Police, CP Olufemi Abaniwonda, commended the officers involved in the successful operations and urged the public to remain vigilant. He also cautioned young people against drug abuse, stressing that it poses serious risks to health and wellbeing and serves as a major driver of criminal activity.
