President Bola Ahmed Tinubu GCFR has extended his congratulations to Mr. Tolu Obamuroh, a distinguished Nigerian legal practitioner, following his elevation to Partner at White & Case LLP, one of the world’s leading international law firms headquartered in New York.
Effective January 1, 2026, Tolu will join the firm’s International Arbitration Practice in Paris, becoming one of only three lawyers worldwide to achieve this distinction in the global partner class. Notably, he is the sole Nigerian-qualified lawyer among this year’s cohort and the only partner based in the firm’s Paris office, which is one of 46 offices globally.
Tolu has earned recognition for his outstanding work representing sovereign states and major corporations in high-value, cross-border disputes, particularly in the energy and infrastructure sectors. In addition to his corporate practice, he continues to advise the Nigerian government on international legal matters under the supervision of the Honourable Attorney General of the Federation and Minister of Justice.
