The Adamawa State Police Command has intensified security measures across strategic locations and key infrastructures ahead of the planned protest by the Ohanaeze Youth Council (OYC) scheduled for Monday, 20th October 2025.

This deployment is part of proactive efforts to protect lives and property, maintain law and order, and ensure a peaceful environment throughout the state.

In collaboration with other security agencies, the Command has launched a joint operation and show of strength along major routes and public areas. Stone Reporter News agents observed police personnel in Hilux vehicles, accompanied by other sister security agencies, patrolling the city, a move intended to deter unrest and discourage any potential disruption by protesters.

Commissioner of Police, CP Dankombo Morris, psc(+), called on residents to remain calm, continue their lawful activities, and cooperate with security personnel to maintain peace.

The Command reiterated its commitment to upholding human rights while assuring that any attempts to disrupt the peace would be handled firmly and professionally.
