The four Chinese nationals abducted in Yagba West Local Government Area, Kogi State, have been successfully rescued in Kwara State, following coordinated security operations.
According to Ibraheem Abdullateef, Senior Special Assistant on Communications to the Kwara State Governor, the rescue was executed by joint security operatives, including the Office of the National Security Adviser (ONSA), Department of State Services (DSS), Nigerian Army, and the Police.
The victims — Dansu Zhou, Zhou Hai, Zhou Jia Jun, and Fan Xiu Guo — were rescued on Saturday and subsequently received medical attention at the DSS facility in Abuja.
Following their treatment, they were handed over to China’s Ambassador to Nigeria, Yu Dunhai, who praised the Nigerian government and the gallant security forces for their prompt and efficient action. 👏
The operation is part of #OPERATION PARK STRIKE V, under which authorities have vowed that there will be no hiding place for criminals in Kwara State.
The successful rescue demonstrates the effectiveness of collaborative security measures in protecting citizens and foreign nationals alike.
